Manuela Rastaldi is a dancer, choreographer and teacher.

I was born in Italy and I have been living in Belgium since 1995 where I established a career. Ever since my earliest youth, I have been taking a full training of ballet and contemporary dance. Thanks to grants and vocational scholarships, I was able to carry on with my studies to a higher level abroad (Switzerland and United States) and eventually in Belgium for the opening of the PARTS dance school (ROSAS).

My professional life as a performer quickly starts within several Belgian companies. Eager to develop my own work, I founded my research workshop – ENNESIMA – that I led as a choreographer.

These activities allowed me to dance on big international and national stages and to collaborate on numerous specific projects: choreography and dance for movies, installations, particular sites etc.

I carried out the function of coach and transdisciplinary artistic assistant (dance film festivals, musical projects).

My artistic developement in contemporary dance led me to deeply explore techniques such as tai-chi, Alexander, yoga and Body-Mind Centering.

I now have the desire to hand down knowledge to others: budding young artists, people likely to draw a source of replenishment on the danced movement (musicians, actors, teachers, non-professionals, artists of related disciplines).

For a few years now, I have been combining a regular mentor activity with teaching kids and adults (through regular classes and workshops).

In addition, I regularly work with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer by supporting them and offering them creative activities.
